Hey guys, I'm from North Texas, but will be moving to Colorado in a month! I've spent a lot of time on your forums, searching for answers, so I'm not sure why I didn't ever sign up until now. I have a 2005 Silverado 1500 with the L33 5.3l. It's cammed, decatted, has headers, and a tune by BBP. I told myself I wasn't going to do anymore engine work until I bought and installed the suspension (building a pre-runner) but I just picked up a LQ9 short block for a really good price... So now the fun begins again. I am currently planning on boring it to a 408 stroker and throwing a turbo on it, but haven't really planned out how the build is going to go yet. Buying the block is what finally caused me to create an account here however, because I know I will have questions.
Welcome. I love prerunner trucks, what you got done suspension wise?
Unfortunately not much... A leveling kit and bilstein 5100's. I dropped a few grand into the engine instead of suspension first. I plan on purchasing the front LT Kit from LSK Suspension by the end of the year though!
