Hey folks, hope everyone is well. My names Zach. 30 year old geezer from Savannah, Ga. I drive a 2011 Silverado 1500 LT 5.3L Z71 that I got about 6ish months ago. She’s my first GM. I’ve been a die hard Toyota and Dodge fan boy my whole life, but I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this truck. She’s my daily driver, but the plan is to build her up a bit to make her more capable off-road for some adventuring/overlanding type expeditions in the future.
I’ve already knocked out some of the “inexpensive” items on the build list. Most notably black headlight housings, 20” snowflake wheels and a Carven axle dump exhaust system, among others. Stay tuned for more!
Thank you! I’m currently torn at the moment between going for an off-road focused build with mild performance mods, or more of a performance focused build with mild off-road upgrades. There are too many options for these trucks, it’s hurting my head and my wallet haha

Well, if that's your daily driver, just do a mild performance package. Cam, heads and headers?
Buy a beater GMT800 and do a SAS for you overland rig...☺️

Oh, I just saw your other thread on the LSA. 😲😶
That’s exactly what I was thinking performance wise but I’m severely infected by the mod bug so I can never stop looking at things. Yeah the LSA is drawing me in 😬😬
An SAS build is also tempting, but I don’t plan on hitting the Rubicon trail quite yet. More mild off roading, the terrain in the southeast is pretty lazy honestly 😂
Welcome to the forum! My brother lives in Richmond hill. Went to visit him in oct. of 21, dunno how you guys tolerate the humidity, and it wasn’t even that bad in the fall 😂. The history of the area is fascinating

I live in Richmond Hill as well! I usually just say Savannah cause it’s less explaining haha. I’ll be honest, I don’t know how we tolerate it either, I’m very thankful I work nights haha. You’re right though, the history around here is amazing!
