Default track run from sunday

Made some shock and caltrac adjustments, which didnt work out, but still had fun. 60fts went from 1.54-156s to 1.61-1.65. Heres a little vid of the 1.65 60ft run, ran 11.19 at 119, truck still on 93 pump gas and low timing, droping to 7.5 degrees in 3rd on this run. Best pass of the day was 11.13 at 120 with a 1.61, same situation. As soon as i get moved, meth it is. modded vette on progressive 150 shot, gto spares up front, slicks out back. He ran a 11.43 at 120 to my 11.19 at 119. I was working on my own plan and not reactions times, but he made it clear that that he beat me.

Sounds like an *******.

It's not like he blew the doors off of you. You did well and that run is nothing to be ashamed about.

with a 2/10 buffer, I would have asked him to run it back for $500 and set your shocks/caltracs to your better settings.

it's good to see someone tuning the suspension and setup instead of just throwing more power at it for quicker times.

Thanks, Truck has been 11.02 at 121 with a 1.56. Basically I have qa1 drag R shocks up front, stocks with caltracs out back. For my 1.5 60fts I had front shocks set to 6 from full loose, and caltracs I had back off a bit so they wouldnt pre load while i was up on the converter building boost. I adjusted the fronts to full loose, and tried adjusting the caltracs to the 1/8 inch gap they recommend. i will be setting back to the way it was and maybe try 1 click looser, a little at a time. 3500 2 step at 9ish psi with a best of 1.541 60ft. Its so damn close 10s even with the lost power from timing, i figured Id try to gain a little in the 60ft.

Thats what he was, the truck did what it normally does, I just didnt worry about reaction times as much as he did, because thats not what I was there to do. But anyways, they celebrated pretty good over it. The truck actually out 60fted him, 8th mile, and 1/4 anyways. His reation time was almost a half second quicker lol.

Yea. You can tell he gets you out of the hole and just holds it through the 1/4.

Fk em....

More great consistent runs. I love seeing it... but i was hoping for meth lol. The title of the thread would have been more exciting if you were on meth already.

I think you're going to be blown away at the difference you see on the back half of the track. You'll be able to keep timing up near 15* (i forget how much boost exactly) for the whole pass and IAT's will be lower... I would be so bold to say I bet you see at least a 5 MPH increase.

Yeah i know, i know lol. No meth yet but still had the urge to go lol. Temp sunday was about 15 degrees warmer then my best pass of 11.02 with the 1.56 60ft. We did quicken up my shift times since then and my best pass sunday was 11.13 with at 1.61, so it would have been damn close to 10s again with a 1.56 lol. Not sure what to expect out of it with the meth, and 6 degrees more timing lol. Keep in mind, right now it starts pulling timing at the 8th mile mark. Im on 10 degrees to the 8th, traps 97-98.5 mph, and its down to 7 or 8 degrees through 3rd. @ weeks ago when it was a bit cooler it trappe 121.2 because it only pulled half a degree down to 9.5, which still aint **** lol. It would be nice to run 10.70s with a 70mm lol. I had consistent 1.54-1.56 60fts with my adjustments the way it was, so I will be putting that back. I have a PTC 3500 converter, nitrous stator, but built to tighten up quick for the turbo, no complaints with it, about 6% slip. I had my 2 step set at 3500, (roughly 3380-3450) makes about 8-10 psi and usually did 1.56s. Dont know if I should bump it up to 3600 and try to build more boost or not, dont know if will help? Im sure the hydroboost will hold it on the 2 step.

On a side note, I was amazed to see a 7.09 at 98 8th mile with the 1.65 60ft. Truck is on 15 psi by the way, 10.3-10.4 afr, 10 degrees
