My ext cab 4.8 was never that slow, even stock. Your truck runs very good now though.

 

What were all the changes? Was it just a stock 4.8 with 3.42's, and you went to a tuned 5.7 w/ 3.73's? Looks much better though.

 

4.8 with 3.08

 

5.7 w/ milled 243 heads, LS6 cam, tuned pcm, 2.5" duals from engine back, x pipe, dual 24" magnaflow mufflers. Stock cats, manifolds, and modified intake box.

Should be happy with it, but want more without FI, spray, or choppy idle.

 

Why does GM even use those gears with a 4.8?

Runs allot better now with the 5.7

Is it a LS1 or a iron 5.7?
