I'm a little worried about the valve springs. It's got 1218's on it currently, good for .600" lift. The cam has right at .600" lift on both sides. But I was told that the cam works well with comp 918s and springs with equivalent pressures which the 1218 does. I'm just wondering if maybe i should buy a set of the 1518s which go to .650"? Do you have any 7.4" pushrods? I think my 7.375's will be a little short for ideal preload.

I'd definitely get something with .650 lift to give you a little room.

the only 7.4 pushrods I have are stockers but honestly, I've ran stockers with everything, unless I needed different length pushrods because of rockers or milled heads or something. People dont give them enough credit, the stock pushrods are pretty tough. and I agree, some .650 springs will help a good bit, but if you only plan to run them for a short time until you swap, the springs you have now will be fine IMO. The lift was .580's right??
