guys i just had to share this, i had a 03 rcsb the (one in my sig) that i sold about 7 months ago, before i sold it i sold whole rear end which were 4.10's with auburn posi, and i also sold my yank ss3600 stall besides that i left everything else on the truck,so a boy in high school bought it and had 3.73's installed by a local shop along with a yank 3000 stall, so he has been going around saying how much faster it is now than when i was when i had it which i know its not, so long story short i raced him with my 01 rcsb 5.3 truck i bought not long ago, its a stock 5.3 with stock 3.42's and g80, tranny has been built but has stock stall, i have e-fans, 160* thermo, and a 125 wet shot on stock tune which i had a local tuner raise my speedlimiter so it wouldn't cut back at 100, so here is the vid of me and him racing, he doesn't know i have spray and he thinks i just have a tune, he was speechless after we raced, listen closely at first and you can he my truck wheel hopin where it spun some, enjoy...

 

Holy crap you crucified him in that first run. I see you ran a 12 with your old truck. Was that sprayed? The gears probably wouldn't make it THAT much slower. Is it still a 13 second truck? If so, I think you've got a badass truck now. I like them both though.

 

haha yea my bottle pressure was real high in that first run it felt the strongest, my old truck ran a 12.70 with a 75 shot, on motor it ran a 13.1, yea its not so much the gears that made much of a difference but the stall...i actually drove the truck right after he had the 3.73's and 3000 stall put in and first gear felt nothing like it did when i had it, that yank ss3600 hit hard, i wouldn't have no other, i plan on buying one for the truck i have now, just low on funds....but yea i was really surprised on how much the 125 shot picked it up from bone stock, i plan on having james (67SS509) build me a 402 so before i pull the ol 5.3 i plan on taking it to the strip with my slicks and giving it a bigger shot of juice to see what i can get out of it

nice. i'm the one that bought your SS3600 from Coop, although sadly, the converter went with the truck when it was totaled.
