Default Fastest 0-60 you will ever see!

Just kidding, just a 0-70 run in my bone stock 230hp/380tq 88 R2500 Suburban with a 454 TBI engine. Right in the neighborhood of 7000lbs of truck with 3.73 gears.

For those that don't know

This is my daily while I build my 94. Just a cheap truck to putt around in with nice cold a/c.

It was spinning the tires through every gear.

Kidding, but if you think about it for being an 88 and weighing that much it doesn't do too bad. I have seen early 90's civics and 90's ford taurus run slower than that.

Yeah, for it's time.

If I give it a reason, it will spin the tires through first gear and into second. There is so much weight back there you have to get it unsettled in some way. Then once it starts, it keeps rolling.

It is fun in the rain, but we haven't had enough in a month to play with it.

Actually, if you watch it again, the gas gauge goes up almost a 1/4 of a tank, then settles back down.

After we got it all tuned up and in good running shape, it is getting about 12 MPG now.

Not all that fast but those older trucks are pretty fun to drive. My 85 was slow as hell, but I used to love driving it.
