http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OkhgMW7ZJM

just wondering cuz ppl with similiar mods claim to run high 14's in the 1/4
ive only been able to pull off a 15.08 at like 92 or 93 mph.

they say they use 26" tires..i was on 30" tire.
also my 99 only has 255hp stock..the other ppl have 2000 n up they have 270hp or more stock.

Run a 26in slick. You will run faster in the 1/4 with your mods IMO that thing looks to be pulling damn hard..

Thats what I run on my ext cab at the track, some summitomo street tires on stock wheels 255/50/16. Was running 15.1 at full weight with tahoe 20s, put these on and removed back seat, rear bumper, tailgate, and spare and went a best of 14.4 with perfect traction but consitant 14.5/14.6s spinning a little because the track is never prepped. They will really help at the track compared to a 30" tire.

dont know if that question was for me, but yeah im on a stock stall,
and i dont have much weight to drop since i have a regcab but hell if a can drop a tenth or 2 in the 1/4 by goin with a 255/50/16 ill be happy. my goal was just to see 14's considering my budget.. its frustrating lol so close
by 30" tire i mean the 235/75/16 stocks there damn near 30" i rounded up

Whats your 60's? Also, whats your exhaust setup? True-duals I've read, what diameter pipe? Seems like true duals on a 4.8 is bigtime overkill may not be that bad if you are running a smaller diameter pipe, flowmasters probably aren't helping any either.

Might be able to pick up some low end back by going to a single 3" and a straight thru muffler, might help to lower your 60' times and get that tenth or 2. Again, might not be in your budget to re-do the exhaust setup though.

only runnin 2 1/4 piping, yeah i was expecting to lose a lil low end it was mainly the sound i was after, not to many ppl have that true dual sound on these trucks.

wouldnt a straight through muffler been worse then a flowmaster tho?
i had considered redoing my exhaust, could always just Y it back to one pipe
