Yeah i wouldn't own a vehicle that's not a stick. I just happen to run across my current truck, i was about to have to get a dakota w/the 4.7 and a 5-speed.

no i sold the cam and valve springs and pushrods off. how high do u think i can spin the 4.8 with everything stock? 6500 safe?

thinkin about building a 6.0 to drop in with a nice 5 or 6spd transmission w/hurst shifter. but im short on dough lol.

id erally liek to buy another 71-75 Ventura and put a 74 Ventura nosecone on it. i miss that car dearly lol

Safely i'd just spin it to 6000. But yeah as soon as i sell my motorcycles and get out from under some debt, i'mma go ahead and buy an lq9 and a T56 and put em in the garage and wait for the 4.8 to wear out or for someone to buy the 4.8 and tranny. I hear it's a little easier for us to 5-speed guys to swap in a T56. Hopefully i'll be the first or one of the first to have a 6 liter 6-speed.

That looks pretty dang quick for 4.8, especially the first two gears. Good Job!
