Default Can't hook on the street on slicks either: Video

Well the ******** closed the track with beautiful weather outside, so we decided to see if I could hook on the street. Well here's the results....

had the tires at 20psi warm.

I think you're gonna have to learn the art of feathering the throttle

Truck sounds mean!

Haha well obviously I knew it wasn't going to hook as well as it does at the track, but I was hoping for a little better traction. Even with the burnout I did, the tires were roasting just flashing the converter from about 2500.

your never gonna hook on the street with that big stall unless its 15" meats or something. you need some weight transfer and weight in the back, even lowering it might help a little. having no tailgate in my experiences makes it even worse=less weight out back. put the gate back on and put some weight in the back and i bet it will do better, but your still not gonna hook good til you do something with your suspension, so stop wasting tires making videos and do something to fix it..

Try backing up onto the tracks you left behind. There's a little more traction there. In any case, get some 305's under there!

Is that a 4.8 w/. a Tornado? Is it "chipped"? I've seen 4.8's do that!
Sounds really good.

Well don't get me wrong, I knew I wasn't going to dead hook no matter what on the street. I was just hoping it wouldn't demolish the tires like it does street tires.
