cammin idle vid

Went to Z284THgen's house here in Oklahoma and we installed my cam finally. The setup is a Comp 224/224 .581/.581 112lsa, Comp 918s, and TSP hardend pushrods, going through pacesetter longtubes, off road y-pipe and a cutout. NOTE: the truck was really idling at about 600rpm, my tach in the truck is wrong. RIGHT CLICK, SAVE AS please

Were you spraing when you ran the 12.68? If so ur in trouble when I come over to LA
Truck sounds damn good for only having a 224 in a 6L. What happened to running a big cam and what size stall are you running in it now?

yea i was spraying and spinning on the 12.68 run. You also have to figure in my shift points are at 5700ish and it was before the cam. the big stall actually slowed me down a lot, so i decided to copy slowprocess's setup, and he runs 12.50s N/A. Im running a TCI3000 for now, but will be upgrading to either a Yank 3200 or Fuddle 3200.

Dude with your setup you can easily hit that. Get a 3400 or 3600, my Fuddle flashes to 3900 and my truck is a hell of alot heavier than yours and it is fine for a DD truck. Why did you go to something in the 228 or 230 range I know you had that 232/234 TSP grind I believe and it didnt work out. What happened with that? Just tryin to figure out why a nice fat cam and large stall didnt work for you.

I never even bothered putting the TSP 233 in the truck, im pretty happy with my current setup, and im sure ill be a whole lot happier once its tuned and I install some 3.90s in the rear.
