No, that looked like a tank recovery vehicle. Can't remember the numbers on it, lol, but it wasn't an M1.

I unloaded a military ship last month and this is what we were pulling off of it...some of them were trashed and striped for parts. Others were plain destroyed to ****. These were troop carriers and I'm not sure what kind of engine they had but I'm sure it was a diesel of some sort.

They weren't in running condition so we hoisted them off the ship.

Check out these bad boys right here...not too pretty looking!

You see that sweet *** GMC truck though!!

I took a picture of this thing cuz I thought someone on here would like the rim color!

The reason these large tractors use tracks is to decrease the ground pressure. With so much weight, most of these tracked machines have a ground pressure of 3.5 PSI (maybe a little more or less) which is almost equivalent to walking. It is nearly impossible to get these things stuck, but I am sure some people still do.

the abraham (sp) is a m1, it has the turbine engine.

the bradley, with spoolin was pulling off a ship, has a cummins diesel in it, not sure wich one.

and what was pulling that tank, looked like a m113 APC, wich are not powerful.

Im an active duty 63b for the us army, wich means im a diesel mechanic. the 113's are acctually pretty weak.

The recovery tank, is an m88, and that sucker is a beast, it would have drug that tractor around that dirt like it wasnt ****.

i could provide specs is anyone was that interested. the m1 would have drug that tractor around, and the 88 definately would have, thats its job.

ive helped load some of those humvees on trucks from iraq, and i could still smell the death in them. It never washes out. I hope you didnt have to get inside of them spoolin. It hurts the heart.

I poked my head in a few but after the first few I didn't have the heart to keep looking around. A few of them you could sense had been a coffin for a few of our brave brothers and sisters so I stopped lurking. It did hurt the heart but on a positive note a few of those had taken some major damage and the insides were still ok so they did their jobs and I'm sure they brought most of their cargo home alive!
