I got rid of the VVT cam and cam gear, put an ls2 timing cover with a gen 3 224 cam and ls7 cam gear. I'm using the Lingenfelter Reluctor box 58 to 24 tooth. Also using a map, cam, and knock sensor extension harness from Lingenfelter. You also have to get the injector conversion adapters from gen 3 to gen 4 style injectors and you have to use the Torque Rush X-link for the TB to open 100%.

I thought I was when I first did the swap. I sent it back 3 times to Lingenfelter...but it turned out it was the tune. Took it to a different tuner and it has been fine for over 5 months now.

His truck runs better than you think. There is a HUGE difference between a 4x4 running in 4wd vs a 2wd. It's not just the extra weight its the parastatic loss of the Tcase, extra diff, cv joints, u joints etc combined with the front and rear end being binded together. The truck is almost in a bind on dry pavement when 4wd is engaged. AWD is alot more forgiving due to the viscus coupling that eases the tention between front, and rear diff.
My truck picked up 3mph in just the 1/8 mi just by running in 2wd. Also was with an unspooled launch.
