Engine Dyno only and not as it is in my truck. On the engine dyno it had a Performer 4bbl intake, and a 600 cfm carb, 1.75 inch long tube headers, no mufflers and no accessories except a mech. water pump. So the numbers are scued.

Peak HP........ 337 at 4860 rpm
Peak TQ....... 466 at 3300 rpm

I'm not sure what it would be at the wheels!

I know if I loose the iron 193 heads and get some aluminum ones with high velocity ports, 2.02/1.6 valves, roller cam and roller rockers it would rev up to 5500 rpm or higher and I know most 383's will make 400-450 hp above 5500 rpm. Plus with aluminum heads I could run close to 11:1 CR on 93 octane pump gas and that would be good for 25 ponies.
