My local dealers had no clue what a 5.3 colorado was. I bought a 2010 5.3 crew cab at Stingray Chevy in Plant city FL. They had it sitting on the lot so i jumped.

 

I drove a 2wd ext cam. I was impressed with the potential of course. Very detuned from the factory so it was pretty much a pig. If they were more available for a decent price, I sure would love a DD to mod tho. Think they will stop production soon...what idiots!

you can only get v8 colorado/canyon in ext cab or crew cab... no regular cabs as far as i read... my dad is thinking of getting one. also i had no clue they put the 5.3L in the '05+ fwd malibu SS cars! that would be a crazy car to have... along with a v8 col/can...

 

I own a Colorado 3LT Ext cab w/5.3 I love it. I took it to the track 1/4 mi
4200lbs + 285lbs (me)=14.65@94 mph not bad. with a little work and a
good set of tires should run in the mid to high 13's
