"Project LS10"

That was what I was after... I wanted it to look like a mini silverado when you popped the hood. I just finished all the rear suspension I replaced it all and added caltracs. I have a set of 13/4" longtubes and a ton of mandral bent 304SS tubing to fab all new exhaust. I'm also going more aggressive with the cam and converter. all new front suspension and a few other goodies. The little truck has just turned 10 years old and still under 90K miles and it is driven everyday by the wife. Since the swap we have put about 15K on it.

Auto, 3:42's, 245/50/16's. All hour plus highway driving no stop and go with cruise and a/c and a light foot. If you start getting into it heavy though playing the gas gauge will chase the speedometer.

So I will be building a 6.0 at some point in the future but for now I found a deal I cant pass up. It's a long story so bare with me. lol About a 1.5 years ago I did an LS1 swap in to my Silverado, and pulled my running 5.3L. When I pulled the 5.3L I was going to keep it for a project (like this) but decided to liquidate all my LS parts. I sold all my LS parts and this running longblock with all the covers and pan for $300 to a real good buddy. I wanted to clean up the garage and he wanted this 5.3L for a first gen S10 swap. Now he never got to it and wanted to make room in his shop so he told me to bring $100 over and pick up the longblock, all the LS parts and the motorstand. After I asked him to let me pay what he payed me I brought home my old 5.3 for $100!
After I checked the baring clearances, installed ARP2000 rod bolts and did a little cleaning/painting.
