Budget reg cab sportside s10 4.8l / nv3500 build
#141
I might have a line on a ls1 short block for $500 and 241 heads for $150. If the short block checks out that will end up going into my S10 and I got a guy who wants the 4.8l for a S10 build of his own so it should be a win win. With the right cam 400whp shouldn’t be hard to reach as long as the nv3500 holds up.
and with a truck that small, the 3500's fine.

just like 853s & 241s
difference was only in the way they were made
... but then you have 243s & 799s, which may or may not be exactly the same because not all 243s were made equal (the 243s from LS6 engines had special valves & the other 243s had normal valves).
