Alright well i guess i'll start a thread since i figure some people might be interested in this.

I am starting with a 1989 S10 Regular Cab Short Box that i found on Craigslist for $200.00 Awesome

The plan for the build is as follows:
~Backhalf
~4 Link
~Dana 60
~Cage
~Aluminum Dash
~Aluminum Door Skins
~Frame Reinforcment
~Big Block
~Built Tranny
~Nitrous
~Clean Underwear

Basically she is starting to get gutted, the plan is to take the cab and frame off and take it to a media blaster and get it cleaned up before the backhalf

 

looks like you got a lot of work ahead of you but once its done it should

what size Big Block?
Question 2.
is it just for the track or a Streetable Race Truck?
Question 3.
are you atleast going to make it look kind of stock?

I miss my old beater like that too...i wanted to pick up a Box S-10 again after i wrecked my 97 GMC ext. cab
But, instead I saved up and bought a NBS to turn into a race truck

GL with the build ill keep an eye on it, used 2 have one with a massive 4.3 with a 850 4 BBL.. damn thing would go as fast as u had the ***** 2 take it.

 

Why do all S10 builds start out looking so scary?

it looks like a total piece of ****. but the all the panels appear to be straight no?

 

Block is undecided and it's gonna be a Track only truck, But i'll most certainly street it when i'm bored, it's getting a Colorado front end most likely

Panels are pristine minus needing a bedside, but yeah it's a **** box lol
