I have a 2004 Colorado crew with the 2.8 auto. Can't afford the $30k that a '09 or '10 5.3 Colorado will cost me, so I'm researching a swap. Any kits out there? Anybody have a list of parts needed? All useable info is appreciated!

I've heard the swap can be done for about 5-6k all said and done.

google for "V8 colorado forum". I forget the link, but there is a site dedicated to V8 colorados and it has a pretty decent FAQ stickie about the needed parts. I've been told its a fairly straight forward swap.
