Do the math.. at a $1k over a year, it's under $100/month, that's if you pay it off. Most of the time if you don't pay it off, the interest starts from day one of the loan/cc.

here is the best advice i can give to everyone on the site.

DO NOT MOD ON CREDIT!!!!!

if you are in a tight pinch, and NEED something to get your truck back on the road like gears, transmission, brakes, inspections etc. i can see that. but for headers, tunes and other crap that isnt necessary to get you from point A to B, save up and pay later. if you cant afford it with cash, dont buy it. simple as that. you will end up paying twice as much in the long run.

listen to stew, modding on credit blows!!! cause when it breaks you still have to pay the CC bill and then your stuck without your truck cause you cant afford to pay to fix and pay the bill

Very very good advice, this is why my new crediit card stays in the dresser till we go on a trip... Never know when you need a credit card in an emergency.
