Default dhpro = Shady Seller

I recently bought the Boyd Coddington Smoothie II's from dhpro and was told that they were in perfect condition, like new, with no scrapes or rashes. Upon the arrival of my wheels I have come to find out that this was not the case. There are numerous scrapes, rashes, nicks, and one rim is even bent in two places. He did offer a refund but said that he would not refund the shipping that I paid (nearly $140).

Here is a video of the rims:

In the future if you are dealing with dhpro, MAKE SURE that you get plenty of pictures and be cautious of what you are buying.

That sucks....

Can those be balanced with a bent rim?

LMAO. who puts weigts on the lip wow....alot of the stuff you pointed could have been put there when they were mounting tires. mothers powerball and polish would probably knock those scuffs out, unless they dont look as bad over the net than they are in real life. those wheels can be fixed (even bent spots) but its the principle that he sold them in like new condition. i would be pissed

Keep the BS posts out, let dhpro reply and go from there. No need to drill this into the ground. Looks like a deal that could have been handled better, hopefully something can be worked out.

Looks like what he says is closer to the truth than what I posted. When they were mounted there wasn't any of the issues he noted, and itr musta happened when I had them removed/replaced. I never bothered to look at them again once they were in the boxes. Poor assumption on my part and guilty of being slack I guess.
I did offer to pay shipping back to me, and I still haven't cashed the money order he sent. Fact is, at $650 its still 25% the cost of some brand spankin', so even if he has to put another $200 into making them pristine he's way on side. That said, he does have a legit gripe, and I have acted in good faith as a result, but I won't shell out more than another $140 on top of the original cost that I've already sucked up. They were a huge bargain even with the gripes, and he knows it or he wudn't be trying to sell them locally.

You keep telling me that they are a huge bargain for the price. Truth is...they really aren't. It would have been a great deal if they were as described (perfect condition w/ no rashes or scrapes). If they were perfect I would be putting them on my truck instead of trying to keep from taking an $800 loss. I shouldn't have to put $200 in them to make them pristine (they need more than $200 to be pristine anyway).

I'm not asking you to absorb or 'shell out another $140'...I'm asking you to make things right since they were not properly described. Having me cover $140 because of something that is your fault isn't 'acting in good faith'. I still have an incredibly hard time believing that you didn't know about the rim that was bent and about the rashes and scrapes. I have already cleaned them up and polished them so you can be 'on side'.

Not cashing my money order is irrelevant because I paid cash for those and they are made out to you so the only person who can cash that is you.

I'm still giving you the oppurtunity to correct even what may be an accidental mistake. I'm not being selfish when I ask for a full refund (including both shipping) because of something you could have done in a minute (look them over). Let me know what you decide...
