So it sat at the shop for 3 months. Did you mark your trans? Stranger things have happened, than for the shop to do some bait and switch. Why did they start tearing into a fresh trans?

Just a few questions that popped up while reading.

 

Yes, the trans was the same one he sold/shipped me. Everything for the conversion was marked & stored at the shop. They didn't tear into the trans, they dropped the pan to inspect it. We found a lot of black sediment and then we opened it up to inspect further. Here is a list of what's wrong:

-Two bolts stripped on pan rail
-Bushing spun in forward clutch
-Clutch totally burnt out in forward
-Bushing locked on od clutch
-Intermediate clutches burned

Obviously this isn't a fresh tranny. Matt {bohr898} claims this tranny had 7K on a rebuild.

We've asked the seller to come in for some feedback. If we don't get any, we'll see what else as a team we want to do. Until then, you got a problem, take it to PM to help the OP keep his thread clean.

 

So did anything ever end up happening with this.... It's been almost 6 months.

 

I'm still in the dark. As far as I know, no one has done anything about this.
