bohr898 sold me a junk 4l80e for $2000
I purchased a 4l60e to 4l80e conversion package from bohr898 on Nov. 29th, 2012 for $2680.
Here's the thread:

I finally received all the parts {transmission, cross-member, drive shafts, flex-plate, spacer, etc...} around the 2nd week in Jan. 2013 {almost 2 months later}.
My truck went to a local trans shop {ATRA member} March 29th, 2013 for the conversion. They dropped the 4l80e pan & found a lot of black sediment. Shop opened it up & Here is a list of what's wrong:
-Two bolts stripped on pan rail
-Bushing spun in forward clutch
-Clutch totally burnt out in forward
-Bushing locked on od clutch
-Intermediate clutches burned
Matt {bohr898} claims this tranny had 7K on a rebuild. This trans would not have moved forward.
So, basically he sold me a junk 4l80e for about $2000 that needs a total rebuild. I have contacted Matt with this info, pics, tranny shops phone#, etc... & no resolution is in sight.

your link is not working but i hope you get this figured out. it sucks to get bad parts. i sold a bad part on here and ended up eating the cost of another part to make it right. either way good luck

Matt {bohr898} posted for sale pics of the trannys externals. Trans was shipped from Florida to a local tranny shop in Superior, WI. The shop called me when the pan was dropped. They waited until I arrived & I watched as it was disassembled.

I'm just frustrated with this. If Matt doesn't make this right, I hope he regrets it for the rest of his life. What ever happened to honesty? Dick's Twin Ports Transmission has been in business for 35+ years. With that said, I'm excited to have a fresh transmission built by someone who is honest & knows what they are doing!
Thanks for the feedback - keep it coming!

My problem is that there is probably a lot of black crap in the bottom of a lot of transmission pans, 80's seem to do it quite a bit as well. But I wouldnt expect it in 7k miles, depending on what it was behind.
