Just read a similar article in Car and Driver, they said that it would be way to costly to bother producing the Lightning.

 

but yet alot of people say the ss is not a true sport truck and how dissapointed they were when chevy released it because its extended cab and heavy blah blah yada yada so the lightning when you think about it was the ONLY reg cab pure sport truck left. I cant believe ford is just gonna let that whole corner of the market (which they owned) just die.

 

2008 must be the next body style change. No way in hell that tank of a truck they got going on now would ever be fast.

 

Well now that they aren't upping the ante I kinda doubt GM will give the SS more nuts. Well now dodge owns that part of the market.

how about that comment about possibly making the ranger a lightening?

 

The Ranger as the new Sport truck would be pretty awesome. I hate fords but at least it would raise the bar. That thing would be very quick.
