Default L vs. LS1 vette

in eugene there is a kid who likes to talk trash about peoples rides, and since i just bought a 2001 L, he thinks he ownes me. Truth be told he's LS1 is completely stock and he got walked all over by a Honda S 2000. now he wants me to throw down, my truck isn't anything special but it produces 393rwhsp. where as his vette only puts out 300rwhsp. i guess i'm asking to see what you guys think i should do?

not much really, cmputer chip, complete nitrous wet kit, soon to have new cams, a new pulley, and a programer.

Should take him with the spray. I kicked the **** out of a C5 Vette that was slightly modified, and it was when I only had a 35 dry shot, and no heater. the only time my spray ever worked right was after I got the heater, so I am not for sure if I was even getting juice when I ran the vette.

Old Vettes? thats like saying a 99 is an "Old Lightning"

I wouldn't bother with cams at this point, when you bump up to a bigger blower, ported heads, ported lower intake, then yes you will see the benefits to larger cams.

I used to walk C5 Vettes with a single flash superchip, 4# crank pulley, cat back and CAI back 5 years ago. Race him from a stop, you will have the advantage as the Vettes are geared for highway and the 01+ L have 3.73 gears stock. If its past 100mph, dont even bother racing him, these trucks arent made for long highway races, cause you will see pieces of you motor after too long.
