i got an 2000 5.3, got it frm the junkyard.an looked at it the manifold bolts broke in the damn head...i tried the easyout **** but its not working =,so can some tell how to get all 8 of the bolts out...

for the ones that aren't flush spray on some penetrating lube and carefully try to get them out with some vice grips (works very well).
For the flush one, you need a machinist with an EDM to melt them out (or they might chisel them out and rethread)

Drill a 1/8 hole in the center of the bolt then use a dremel with a tungsten bit and spilt the bolt into 3 and stop short of the threads. I did mine with the head still on the truck not a big deal pretty easy hope this helps.

i would of had an warranty but since its not going in a 2000 truck, they wont warranty it..butt really its in good shape rear main seal has no signs of a link...heads like good side them exhaust bolts

+1, and you could try drilling the flush bolt out, starting small, getting dead center, and being very patient. Keep stepping up the drill bit until you can basically pick apart the remaining thin layer of bolt thread, being careful not to damage the head. I've done this many times, you have to be careful and it's tedious, but it works.
