Default will these heads be a smart buy?

My friend is selling a brand new set of trick flow heads that I'm interested in. My question is what will it bump my compression to if I put them on my stock lq9? They are tea/TFS 220's with a 65cc chamber. Also what kind of power gain would I be looking at here. Thanks I. Advanced.

That would bump your compression up about 0.75 of a point. If you are around 10:1 now, you would be getting close to 11:1. Are you looking to put these on your turbo setup?

Yeah that's why I'm asking . I knew it was going g to bjmp compression just didn't know how much. Can the chambers be cnc'd to open them up a lil bit to get them closer to 70cc you think?

They can, but you might want to contact someone who specialises in that. They can tell you what is possible with their current programs.

I would call Richard at WCCH if you are going to do that.

What are your goals rwhp wise with your current set up? It's just a stock LQ9 right?

With the boost you plan to run I dont think any more compression is a good idea...

well my goal is to hit 9's. What ever HP that's going to take will be my goal I'm thinking 900+ will probably get it done. Yes I'm still on a stock lq9 . The only mods to it are arp head studs ls9 gaskets, comp cam/springs/push rods, other then that everything is stock. I think I'm going to target my short block compression around 10:1 that seems to be the magic number for having decent power out of boost. Truck is going down to the dyno on the 30th of this month in Vegas to get tuned by zippy and then hit the track if all goes good.
