Wiesco pistons arrow facing the wrong way?

So the piston your showing in post number 7 is for either for cylinder 2, 4, 6, or 8.

The wiesco pistons have a short style skirt style they all clear the no.7 reluctor ring

Your pistons are correct and correctly marked, when installed the lettering (and numbering) will be upside-down as this is standard on all wiseco pistons.
You will need to install with the arrows facing towards the front of the motor. For example the picture of the piston that you have sent me would be installed on the passenger side of the motor with the arrow facing towards the front of the block.

Just be sure the cuts for your valves are on the top half of the piston, which puts the larger intake valve relief on the left when facing the engine. Wiseco, Diamond, and Mahle have all mismarked pistons before, unfortunately, so just make sure the relief is in the correct spot!

Apsulutly fantastic info bro pistons have already been installed this morning no problems at all

I think it looks upside down when looking at the motor maybe they should add a dot instead of writing or at least there should be a warning lable in the box

I just have one more last little question the connecting rods didn't come with directions on which side to install them and I think they look the same on both sides but some utube videos say you can't do that are they rite?

The LSx connecting rods do not have any offset to them, so they can go in either way on either bank.

Just an update for all the first time builders like me As I have always wanted to learn how to build an engine my self the feeling when you start it up would be priceless.

Texsas speed and performance have been unbelievable and I have asked them a million questions and they always happily answers all my questions and made me feel confertable asking more questions. I'll be ordering more from them soon..here is a few tips when you building a motor for first time..

Most connecting rods have a chamfered side They need to be facing the radias of the crank see pic you can't tell when looking at the rods you have to really look for them


Here is a pic of the crank radias


With all that I have learned with this motor build I feel like I can build anything I might do another one soon haha
