Default Why two water pump gaskets?

Got a felpro install kit and I'm a bit perplexed why I would be given a cardboard gasket and a oring style? Surely not supposed to use both??

not sure why they gave you cardboard ones but no you don't use both, you'll use the o-ring style gaskets

Use either one but not both.

If your block is in real good shape with no pitting in it use the metal and rubber. If the block is a bit rough use the paper
