that would be the main thing, having competitive prices over comp cam (big advertisers)...

stock48 - what are isky prices compared to comp cam? let us know if you go through it, it might be worth giving it a shot...

I need to figure out what I can sell for, once shipping and fees are figured in. I would probably use pay Paypal at first, so I will get hit with the 3%. I think credit card companies do the same thing on the vender side. I already get a decent deal on the Isky stuff. I have to have to assemble a 505 for a guy in the next few days, once that is done I will have more time to check into everything

Comp on the other hand did MASSIVE marketing of their street hyd. cams and I think it was a huge success. You couldn't even open a magazine without their ads in the first few pages. Crower followed their lead later on. I really think it all boils down to aggressive marketing as does the success of any business. Great product, too little marketing.
Thanks for your input Ted. I build a lot of BB chevys and we know how they can be cam eaters. Upon inspection after several 1000 miles I noticed the comps had a good amount of wear. I started out using comp, and I never had one go flat, but I have known people who had problems with them. Back then I was always changing cams, and intakes around. Even If I hit it off with the first combo I would try something different just to see. I just happened to try an Isky, and It was the best running one yet, and looked new after 1000's of miles daily driving, and racing. (I used to deliver parts in a mid 11 sec pickup) After seeing that, and picking up ET with the Isky I started using them exclusively in my engines. I have NA 10 sec daily driven Pontiac's, Buick's, SB, and BB chevy's out there all running Isky cams.

I have Isky solid roller lifters and dual (inner, outer, damper) valve springs in my 388. Isky produces some of the best quality products but they are just not "main stream" (advertised). Comp, Crane, etc. all advertise everywhere and many of the "sponsors" even use them to grind their "in house cams". Marketing makes the world go around.
