I have an LQ4 and want to know where to find mod parts for it.. I was told that ls2 heads wont fit unless you also change other parts as well because the port demensions are different, ls is kinda square ports and the LQ is cathedral style ports? I was also told that the hot cam kit from an LQ( wont work, but not sure why?

if it was your mechanic that told you that... run. everything will interchange without issue.

Actually the mechanic told me that the parts would interchange.. But it was a GM dealerships "motor guy/crate motor guy" that told me that the LQ9 was completely different.. I'm am thankful for the info i've found on this site.. I had one of the first cold air intakes on my truck that didn't come with a new intake tube and i just changed out the tube to a k&n intake tube.. I cant beleive how much better truck runs.. Just waiting for my heddman shorty headers now..
