Default What would you do

What would you do Buy a 6.0 low miles and I mean less then a 100 or put Ill say $3000 into my 5.3.

6.0, if you're planning on dropping serious coin on modding, might as well start with the block that allows for the MOST. 400+cid, larger cams, more torque, etc. Even in its stock form its a torque machine

i'm rocking out the 5.3 till it blows. after that goes it's gonna be a 5.7 or 6.0.

This is a 6.0 out of a 05 step van 300 hp is this an LQ9 or LQ4 which is better and why.

The 6.0 you described would be a LQ4. The only difference between the various LQ4's power output is all tuning.

And the LQ4 vs. LQ9 arguement is well all depending on what you want to do. Demand for LQ9's seems to be higher, and LQ4's have a slightly lower compression ratio making them better for forced induction applications. And if you ever stroke it, might as well save some $$$ by starting with the LQ4.

Its a LQ4. The LQ9 has higher compression from flat top pistons verses the dish on the LQ4. Also the LQ9 has beefier rods and floating wrist pins.
But the LQ4 is just as good.
Are you saying that the LQ4 is $3000?
If so, I would pass. You can buy a complete brand new LQ9 for only a few hundred more.

Damn Eigther I got a steal on mine, or everywhere else in the country is outrageous. I paid $1000 for mine complete from intake to oil pan
