Default What RPM you taking your TR224 to?

Couldnt really find nuthing in the search..the guys with the TR224 112 lsa cam, what are your 1>2 and 2>3 shift points??
My 1>2 is at 6800 and my 2>3 is at 6600.. with the stock manifolds you could feel it start to drop off before 6800 and now with my headers and it does not drop off like before..

i am shifting my 224 at 6300 on the 1-2 and the 2-3. only reason i am not shifting higher is because i don't have my rod bolts in. i don't want to blow the 5.3 just yet.

I dont exactly have the TR 224, but I do have the Comp 224/224 .581/.581 112lsa and run it up to 6300 right now. No real reason to run any higher considering you are way out of the powerband.

ever occur to you that you may be spinning it too high thus your lack of performance relative to your mods?

i believe it will still pull but you aren't making anymore power up that high. as stated the truck intake is good to what 6k rpms then power starts to fall off. but for you, your power may still be above what it would be at 4000 or where ever your shift extension is.

i personally wouldn't shift mine that high without rod bolts.
