What RPM you taking your TR224 to?

my friends 5.3 with a 220/220 would make power all the way to 6500 before it started to fell off, and his was on a dyno, thats how you can really tell...

sorry didnt mean to be pissy i was pissed at this car i was workin on at the time..changin a tranny filter on a caddy and got tranny fluid all over the front of my shirt and jeans.. where i work at i tune and dyno cars so i get to play on the dyno anytime i want, i plan to put it back on there this weekend and see what it pulls to with the headers on..yes im still on stock rods bolts...im not too worried about it coming apart i know where i can find a cheep 6.0 back up.. but yet im only sprayin to 6200 and i would like to spray to 6500 if i can find a msd chip some where..if some one has one pm me..

My 1>2 is at 6800 and my 2>3 is at 6600.. with the stock manifolds you could feel it start to drop off before 6800 and now with my headers and it does not drop off like before..

about the stock bottom end, many people get real testy about shifting past 6400 but when it comes down to it, as long as you arent screaming to 7k every other day then you should be fine. if i remember right v8 used to shift or still does at 7k and he had the stock bottom end.

I didn't know that you were shifting THAT high...what rpm does it fall to after the shift??

thats another reason why i wanna keep it high in first so it back into second at a higher rpm..hell when i raced you i was only goin to 6200 and runnin 10.5 A/F

Yea, I had mine raised to 6100 so now it doesn't fall on its face after the 1-2 shift...

I'd be interested to know what ET/MPH difference you all who shift out past 6600 would see, if you were to set the shift RPM to 6000-6200. It's just HP goes so flat past 6000 rpm due to intake and all.

Lance, look how similar RGVs HP curve out past 5500 RPM is to yours. Thought that was interesting. FLAT, ya know?
