What Length Rods?
#4
Thanks, Dirt Track.
Beeble,
I had checked out those length checker tools, but I was hoping to only have the truck apart for a day. But if it's the right way to do it then I may have to deal with having the truck down for a week.
Is there a certain preload amount that is considered optimal?

If you can swing it buy a few sets at different lengths and just return what you don't use.
I'm running at .075" preload w/LS7 lifters, I think the recommended range is something like .050"-.080"? More preload tends to be on the quieter side (no sewing machine) from what I've read (mine is pretty quiet too).
