What does the term full bolts on mean on a silverado and the term GEARS

Means like, camshaft, cylinder heads, rockers, intake, headers and that kind of stuff. Just bolt on parts that don't change things like displacement or additions like superchargers/turbo's.

Gears as in rear end gears or both front and rear. Like going from 3.42 to 4.10's or something like that. Some of the best bang for the buck performance is swapping gear ratio's. Going from something like 3.23 that would suck for some aspects of performance but great for fuel mileage to a gear change of 3.90 or 4.10 would make the vehicle much quicker to a certain point and then you end up being speed limited by the gear ratio.

I take it as anything that can be bolted on the motor or vehicle without tearing the motor open or adding any type of boost or bottle. Even a cam I would say "it's cam, full bolt on" or "cam, bolt ons on bottle".

this is how I see it too. even though the heads literally bolt on, you have to crack the engine to get there. and the fact that you see internet racers list their mods as heads/cam/nitrous/FBO...why list the heads and cam if FBO already assumes that?
