What can I use to clean a dirty head?

Default What can I use to clean a dirty head?

I just got my new head in. Unfortunately, it looks like it had been sitting in a warehouse with no valve cover and is quite dirty. How can I clean it without damaging valve seals or any other parts? What kind of cleaner do I use? Thanks.

kerosene works well.
