thats the cam i run in my truck...
it a great daily driver cam, but not much lope if that whatg ur looking for...
i personally would go with a 212/218 low lift in that 5.3..
ohh ya, no matter which cam you put in, springs and pushrods are a must....
also a tune if u want to get any power out of the cam..

I pretty much i decided Im going to go with the 212/218 that everyone is using. Gonna upgrade springs and all that.
Gonna get some more small stuff done first such as gears, gauges and all that. I may end up changine my exhaust again.

OK, I was able to access Comp's site, 206/212 .513/.520 115...that's very similar to my cam, which is a great daily driver and works well with the stock converter. Even this baby cam could benefit from a mild converter though...I'll know soon enough when I pay off my FLT Level7 and get to romp on my Circle-D triple disc
When I was at stock height on 33's, my truck ran 16.5@81.7mph in the 1/4. After installing this cam and tuning, I ran 15.6@89.5 mph...nice gains IMO, for a cam that sounds almost stock and doesn't really need a higher stalled torque converter

I had a 212/218 low lift in my 5.3 with a Trailblazer converter, and I was not happy with the amount of torque that was lost compared to stock. I was down right disapointed, and that was on 255/70/16, honestly do the converter first. Its acutally gonna be more bang for your buck then the cam will. When the fun from the new converter wears off do a TR220 on a 112...

I would definitely do gears first before anything though, IIRC the L33s came with 3.42s or something rediculous for a 4wd with your size tires that cant be too fun to drive.
Get a tight 3K stall such as a TT3000 or talk to Chris at Circle D Im sure he can fix you up. After your gears and a converter, bump it up to a decent sized cam. 4.56 gears, 3K stall and a 220ish duration cam will make your truck feel like a race car compared to the way it runs now.

Wow, I must be wrong then
I know your not gonna wanna go as big as I did but, my Yank 3600 dropped slightly more then a full second off my E.T. as compared to cam only times. The cam itself was only good for a few tenths, and by the time it was properly tuned you couldn't tell if from a stock idle...
