Default Which valve springs??? Beehive or dual???

Hey all!!! So I decided on the cam Iʻm going to get for my 5.3 Tahoe (214/224 .500/.500 115lsa)... So now I am deciding on which springs to get with them? Do I go with the Beehive or Dual Springs??? Iʻm thinking the dual will give me more strength but I want to know what you all think???

Thanks in advance!!!

With thaf low lift you could getbawayvwithbthe LS6ers for sure, no need for duals at all.

I don't agree on Comps choice. If your talking about spending the cash on duals why not go with better lobe profiles?

I have looked back @ your other threads. Are you planning a stall? Gears?

Being totally honest, I wouldn't spend the money as time involved to do an LS6 cam in a 5.3...

I would choose a better cam... just me.

Coming from a cam designer.

Even though this also is a 214/224 they are not even on the same page, that is just a comparison of the .050 duration. There is much more to a cam lobes and their design...

Here is what I would run:

214/224 .595/.568 112+3

It uses the LXL lobes for the intake and XE High Lift for the exhaust. This will give you excellent power almost like a LSL or XER but much better springs life even with the high lift, not to mention a quiet valvetrain.

You would need to run PAC 1518's

Will perform great without a stall and gears, but when added this setup will really wake up!
