Tsp ported oil pump failed me!
#1
Last weekend smokeshow (jake) was doing some small adjustments on my tune. And while we were making a pull. I lost all oil pressure! Shut it down and pulled off. Had my mom pull me home at 230am and then went to work at 5am!
Well I finally pulled the pan, and found small pieces of metal. So I was looking hard for problems. And looked up in my pump and something didn't look right.
Went to put the pick up tube in the shed, and heard a funny sliding noise. So I tipped it up and out popped some nice chuncks of the pump

I'll be calling tsp tomorrow see what they say.
I havent see this before.
Really sucks! I like the oil pressure this used to make!

Damn you don't mess aroud when you break something lol. Prob one of those 1 in a 1000 cases. Let us know what they say about it. Don't think I have seen or heard of a pump doing this. Good thing you shut it down in time.

Is TSP's pumps a oem pump that is massaged or is it aftermarket ? IMO stock pumps are fine, or possibly a ported stock pump. Atleast you were able to see it lost oil press, were able to save the engine
