i know what a cam does first of all. yes i do take it out and wind it up my shift points are 6150 from what my edge reads ( using an edge because it was my first programmer all i use for it now is real time data. I asked Justin if he could go farther and i didnt get a response. right now i am dealing with a p0300 and p1174 which he thinks is an actual miss fire but i checked everything and its legit. I get the codes randomly, like yesterday i did a highway pull to 120 and slowed down to a light and after a minute of driving ended up getting both codes but the truck didnt act different, and sometimes i will just be driving around town and i will get them. Some times i can even go a week with out getting a code.

They will compliment each other, hard to say which one should be done first. Converter will get the truck moving, but without exhaust, you are still limiting the camshaft. Headers will open up full potential of the cam, but you will still have the dead spot...it's a trade off.

I would do headers first personally and deal with the dead spot in the mean time. Gears and converter shortly after.

No converter first. I have always thought that abput a 3200 converter should be every bodies first mod...

It should be a noticeable difference. You will still be lacking some down low without gears or a converter.

Texas Speed & Performance 1-3/4" Stainless Steel 1999-2007 Truck Headers

No reason to ever sell a Pacesetter headers to a 99-07 truck guy again! Our stainless headers are less expensive, fit better, perform better, and look MUCH better
