Ah! Perfect! Dont we all lol
So without hunting down a shelf cam that will work well for you I will just toss out specs of what I would likely use if I were you.
Do you have headers? I am goign to spec it as though you do.
216/220 112+3 ish
The other proven option is the low lift 212/218

no headers, but they are certainly in the parts to come list. I just have this terrible fear of breaking the manifold bolts and having to pull the heads, which has kept me from already buying them. I do however have a real 2.5-3.0 inch y in the y-pipe, and I've debated taking the cats out.
I guess I'll look into the 216/220, I had been looking at the 212/218 but I am I afraid I would go through all the work and then not be satisfied with the power increase.

Isky 215/215 111, i had it in my 5.3 and all it needed was just a little more than stock converter and it would of been perfect for a DD imo, and sounded good also.. Just tossing it out there
but if your sticking to no headers you will prob want more exhaust duration than that im assuming
edit: another thread going on right now.. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...-stall-535547/

I went with the vinci 210/218 b/c I was in the same boat as you... didn't want to stall it. I was originally going to go with the 216/220 but changed my mind when I decided to go for max effort tq.
I hear ya on the manifold bolts best way would be to spray some bolt lubricant on it for several days and let the motor go through several heat cycles to really work the lubricant in there. This should prevent them from snapping.

Trick Flow 216/220 cam. Hard to beat the price. This would work with a TB converter.

I know my truck is a little different due to the weight but I had a L33 with a TSP 220 112 and with stock converter it was really doggy till about 3500 and then it came on real strong, with a 3200 converter it was better but I honestly wish it had a 3600.
I had LTs and a tune
