Trick Flow GenX 215 Heads
#1
I want to put these heads on my 03 LS6 with forged internals, big cam and Fast 92mm intake and throttle body I want a 500+hp motor to the wheels. My question is Will this combo do it.This is going in my 98 s10 that has an 04/5.3 that puts down 380 hp. right now.It has all the bolt ons you can put on one. Thanks for your time.Mike

You need to realize that Fbody's aren't of the same breed
. You will be going through an auto trans that will eat up some power. It can be done with a perfectly matched cam/intake/head combo but your stretching it. Compression will be your best friend.

I have the TF 215 heads in my LS1 GTO and they are great. But, if you have an auto trans, you are not going to make 500 hp to the wheels with a N/A LS1. I'm making about 450 hp through a stalled A4 with a modest 230/236 cam and ported FAST 90. It would probably be 475 with a manual trans. A bigger cam will give you higher peak power, but driveability will suffer. Don't get too caught up in numbers, in a light vehicle like that S-10, it'll be a beast. Worry about getting traction.

Thanks for the advise.Thinking about milling the heads 0.030 to bump up the compression which will put me around 10.5+ I have a good tuner and he thinks with this combo is going to be close to it,475-480hp.I guess I can always hit it with a 100 shot if need be !! Lol
