TQ spec's on head bolts

The trick I read about, and used, was to draw a line across all the bolt heads with a black sharpie marker. That way you can see when you've gone exactly 90* etc...

If you use molly lube instead of oil I think the TQ specs are different.

oneslowhoe i think you are correct. oil vs molly lube will have different tq specs. my numbers were based on oil. i don't keep things like this in memory so i have to cheat and look. they used regular oil. 30wt

I got the specs plus the little sharpie trick off of LS1 howto when I did ZO6 DREAMING's heas the instructions were for an F-body but I am sure its all the same. his went in fine and he hasnt had any problems... even reusing the stock head gaskets with 11.5:1
