I had a 2000 c5 6 speed and bone stock all it would run is a 8.65 with traction issues. That was a 350hp LS1. A 1000+ lb heavier truck with 30 more hp isn't going to run quicker.
Also, I seem to remember a 600' track being in the Mobile area. There used to be one up here until the went back to 660'. That may explain the times.

i think i will call the track operator tonight and see what the exact length is...
there was a pro 5.0 turbo mustang up there a few weeks ago down in the 4.90's @ around 145 mph. i don tknow if that sounds right, or if you can figure my mph?? i am around 9.3 at 72.... if there is any calculation that will show track length from e.t.......
if there is, i am all ears.

I have raced a new Tundra. The toy was stock and my truck has some bolt-ons and I onlt got him by a 10th. I was like" holy crap!, if this dude puts an exhaust on he will beat me! ) If GM won't build a fast truck to hang with everyone then I'll do it for them. So sad. I almost got smoked by a stock import in my modded American HotRod.

Yes I did. A hotrod is a modified vehical used on the street and the track. Now it's no T bucket or anything but it is "my" hotrod. When people say hotrod they think of 50s style cars and trucks modded for dragracing. I modded my truck for dragracing so a HotRod it is.
