I learned something new. The vegeance racing set a limit rpm and others. Until break down. Will bring my truck to them and able to street tune to allow that high.

Rear main seal finished replace and stop leaking. At first. my 4l80e was broken by MAD DOG tranmission! Say I damaged the pump because too tight converter. I still shocked. Because I was follow by circle d instruction and measure, add shim 1/8 on torque converter. At first I paid $695 doing an inspection transmisison and upgrade shift kit. The guy owner mad dog name is LOU says clutchs are wear out.. They replace clutches and shift kit.. Now 2nd time. took it back to them. I asked them 4 times dont mind fix rear main seal because it is right there when they doing my transmission. They say can do that. Add $100. So I never hear from them ovewr 2 days. I was getting frustated. Due lack of communicate/ not very friendly with hearing impaired. Next day finally got me in touch. Say converter were to tight push pump crack?????????????? They offer me do $900 whole rebuilt. I told them if we stay $900 include seal fix and 1 year warranty. We got deal. Got truck back. No proof paperwork list what they doing, only recpit. It was missfiring, I was confused it was fine before but now messed. I found #8 coil was unplug! Think they struggle put dipstick in. Oil leak. I texted LOU. THey seem not believe me. They didnt do anything. Says it was oil drain plug loose. I didnt believe it. I knew its seal! We didnt coopertive it. SO I end up use my work shop lift, my co worker and I work on. Replace seal. and Nocited my transmission pan start leak alot. THey DIDNT replace transmission pan gasket! I bought it from GM and replaced it. ALL no leak now. It pissed me off. I paid them. It not fair. I thought it would be great company.. Now seem everything good. But I still not get used with circle d high stall 3200. It is my first experince. WHen I footbrake till 3000 rpm wont spin tires. Only launch. WHy??

We recommend using valvoline VR1 20-50 conventional for the life of the motor. We have done extensive testing and found that this is what makes the motors live much longer. I would stay away from synthetics, It is really too thin for the LS design especially when the bearing tolerances are loosened up to allow for more power output.

20-50 is correct, You can go more thin if you are in a cold climate but we still recommend against synthetic oils.

You can drop to a 10-30 for the times that is is below freezing on cold starts. We really prefer the thicker oils in the motor especially when warm out.

Stick with Valvoline conventional, You can use the simple white bottle oil. This is only when very cold that you will want to do this. When warm stick with the VR1 20-50 and you will see a much longer life on the motor.
