Default Timing chain and tensioner help

Hello all, I'm about to do DOD delete on my 2007 5.3 Tahoe. I have almost everything but need input. I'm replacing the timing set (170,000miles plus I'm replacing oil pump). Use stock LS2 set and block style tensioner? Saw Blckgmc suggest a tensioner from trick flow. Do I need that kit because I don't have bolt holes in block or just need stock tensioner? Thanks in advance

Just get the ls2 style block dampener if youbhave dod your engine has the holes for the tensioner there already... Part number is 12588670..... if youre deleting the dod get the truck valley cover 12598832 from a 4.8 or 6.0 truck without afm and save about $90 over the ls3 style....

Gen iv blocjs with dod use chain tensioner and already have the holes in the block for it.... The trick flow set is for gen 3 engines that dont have the tapped holes already
