You have to pull the oil pump to swap the chain so why not just replace both since its already off. Seems like a waste to swap one and then go back later to swap the other.

At 64K I wouldn't mess with either...Is this swap on the 06 in your sig? I believe that 05+ comes with the LS2 chain already, but I'm not 100% sure on that, hopefully someone can confirm...

yeah i got a friend who has an extra ls2 chain to give me. i think i already have the ls2 chain also, but im just gonna swap it anyway. yes its the truck in sig

Stay away from putting that 32 buck LS2 junk chain back on. Go to katech and buy their C5R chain. I have seen a couple LS2 chains come apart already, not worth it.

As for oil pump, GM's DOD pumps kick ***.
