How many miles are on it? Some do some don't depends on how worn they are. Alot of the time when putting the oil pump back on the O ring gets pinched and causes oil pressure issues.

My chain was sloppy at 73K on the motor I'm working on. Ordered a HD single row chain from one of the sponsors here.

If it's an average build that won't be spinning to the moon, you'll be fine with an "LS2" timing chain, which can be obtained from one of our sponsors such as SDPC (where I got mine, awesome customer service). Don't go crazy on the oil pump, the factory pump is more than adequate, no need to break the bank. I'd either get a factory replacement or check Lingenfelter for their GENIII oil pump, last time I checked they had the best price, pump may have been ported and polished (unnecessary IMO, but it can't hurt), but I can't remember.
