Default Those with aftermarket cam shafts

how long have you had it in for and did you chenge anything besiides your cam(bearings/springs/etc). and this is mostly applying to blown guys with gen 3 engines( preferbly 6.0's)
the reason im asking is i have a vortech with a futral 213-219-15 +3 cam. well i did have one it spoun a cam bearing . so im etting a new lq9 motor and i want to get another cam i just dont want anything to happen. im not looking to rebuild the whole motor just for new cam bearings.I just want to see if anyone has had any troubles with the same stuff or if you have had good luck with your set up and maybe some ideas of why this happened to me so i can avoid it next time around

My best guess would be that whoever intstalled the cam dinged a cam bearing with a journal or lobe of the cam and it created a sharp point which in turn gaulded a journal or caused lack of oil flow spinning the cam bearing. How do the cam journals look? BTW if you sell ur pistons/rods I would like to have first dibs on them as I will be needing them eventually.

Why do motors last and last under the same conditions then one day give up the ghost? I dont know same could be said for the cam bearing. How do the journals look?
